1 day work experience placements (expenses covered)

Are you looking to gain experience on a professional film production? In association with Wigan Council we are offering a unique opportunity for 10 young people (aged 16-30) based in Leigh to gain work experience on the production of an upcoming feature documentary.

You will join an award-winning team over one day to observe the film shoot and gain an insight into how documentaries are made, we will also cover all out of pocket expenses.

What will I be working on?

You will have the opportunity to gain experience on the feature length documentary ‘Lottery Winners - Return to Leigh’ about four piece band Lottery Winners as they prepare for their homecoming show in Leigh in May 2026.

What you will receive

1 x day work experience opportunity with full support and guidance by a team of award-winning filmmakers.
All reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Credit on the feature documentary.

Eligibility

You do not need any prior experience but you must be able to demonstrate an interest in filmmaking in your application.
Priority will go to applicants with a home address in Leigh, Greater Manchester (WN7).

You must be aged 16-30 at the time of applying.
